Why I want to be a teacher I want to be a teacher because I feel as if it is what God has called me to do. It is a way in which I can reach young students and help them to descover their purpose in this world. I want to teach high school aged students because I believe high school is a very influential time in life in which kids make decisions that can lead them on very positive or negative paths. I want to encourage and lead them on the positive and sucessful path. Because of my family's huge background in education the one thing I didnt want to be as a Freshman in college was a teacher, but look where I am now, God knows better than me (haha). I have been blessed with the skills and personality to become a teacher; some in which i surely inherited from both of my parents who have been teachers for their whole careers and now are principles.
Feeling Comfortable with tech and what i want to know
When it comes to technology I am pretty comfortable with most recent computer applications and microsoft office tools. I use technology in everyday life and catch on with how to use new technology pretty quick. I am impatient with technology and bad at finding ways to fix issues and set systems up, so i need to work on those.
Feelings about tech in ed
I feel that the use of technology in education is very important. We have the opportunity to descover so much more with all of the technical support that we can use and it should be put to good use in bettering our stuent's education. I fell that technology can really create a bond between the students and information as most recent students seem intrigued and intreseted in the technology world of today. I also feel that there should be a connection with older uses of books and literature as well, but i believe that technology only enhances those tools, not replaces.
